The Lukhang murals convey a timeless vision of one of the world’s most profound systems of spiritual illumination. It is the hope of the lamas who have contributed to this work that the visionary murals be respected as living symbols of Tibet’s inner Tantric tradition.

The spiritual practices illustrated in these murals belong to the highest level of Buddhist Tantra an in particular to Dzogchen the teachings of the Great Perfection. The Dalai Lama explains these practices have traditionally been kept secret as to engage them without proper guidance can lead to misunderstanding. In the right context however, these same techniques are held to lead speedily to the total liberation of body, mind and spirit. By introducing these paintings to a larger world, the Dalai Lama expresses his belief that, in this age, misconceptions concerning Tantra are best resolved through cautious revelation.
The Academy of Everything is Possible sponsored the sharing of an extraordinary series of paintings on the walls of the Lukhang, the Dalai Lama's private meditation chamber in Tibet.
